Nourishing Babies Across the Southeast
Mothers' Milk Bank Southeast is a nonprofit milk bank dedicated to collecting, screening, pasteurizing, and distributing donor human milk to infants in need.
Formerly known as Mothers’ Milk Bank of Tennessee, our new name reflects the growing number of hospitals, outpatient families, and communities we serve throughout the Southeast. While our reach continues to expand, our mission remains the same: improving infant health outcomes through access to lifesaving donor human milk.
Why Donor Milk Matters
Donor Milk Can Save Lives
For premature and medically vulnerable infants, donor human milk is more than nutrition — it is medicine.
Pasteurized donor human milk has been shown to help reduce the risk of serious complications in preterm infants and supports healthier outcomes during critical stages of development. When a mom's own milk is unavailable or limited, donor milk provides a safe and vital bridge.
Your support of our mission helps provide hope, healing, and healthier beginnings for babies and families.
Become a Donor
Your Milk Can Be Someone's Miracle
Milk donors are the heart of our mission. By donating surplus breast milk, they help nourish fragile infants in NICUs and communities across the Southeast.
The donation process includes:
-
Health screening
-
Physician approval
-
Simple blood testing
-
Safe milk handling and storage guidance
Once approved, their milk is carefully processed and distributed to babies who need it most.
One donor can help save countless tiny lives.

Hospital Partners
Partnering to Improve Infant Outcomes
Hospitals and healthcare systems across the Southeast partner with Mothers' Milk Bank Southeast to expand access to safe, pasteurized donor human milk for vulnerable infants and families. Together, we are improving neonatal outcomes, supporting breastfeeding goals, and ensuring medically fragile babies receive the nutritional support they need during critical stages of development.
Our collaborative hospital programs are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing maternal and neonatal care services while providing compassionate, evidence-based support for patients and clinical teams.
